WELCOME MESSAGE

On behalf of our sponsor, 100 Black Men of Memphis, Inc., our governing board, faculty and staff, we bid you a most heart-felt WELCOME!  The Memphis Academy of Health Sciences Middle School is one of the first charter schools to open its doors in the state of Tennessee.

The opening of the Memphis Academy of Health Sciences is a dream-come-true for the many dedicated and committed members of the 100 Black Men of Memphis, Inc.  The entire organization has worked extremely hard to create a “power” school that is committed to EXCELLENCE and equally committed to successfully educating all of the students served by the Academy.

We extend a very warm and personal word of thanks to our parents who entrust to us their most precious possession(s).  We will treat each and every student with dignity and respect, and will challenge them every step of the way to pursue excellence in all that they do.

As we enter our 5th academic year (2007-08), we ask for your continued support and prayers.  We have a challenging journey ahead as we pursue our vision and goals and work to
Change Lives, One Mind at a Time!

Sincerely,

Curtis Weathers, Director weathers_c@comcast.net
